Stephen McNamara

Stephen McNamara is a Family Law Associate at Ziegler Law Group LLC. He is licensed to practice law in the State of New Jersey.

Stephen was born and raised in Bergen County and attended the University of Maryland, where he focused his studies on criminal justice, criminology, and economics. He attended Rutgers Law School in Newark and developed a passion for family law through his volunteer work with the Child Advocacy Clinic.

Stephen’s practice focuses exclusively on family law, and he is experienced in dealing with various family laws matters, including divorce, child custody, child support, alimony, equitable distribution, post-judgment issues (e.g., cohabitation) and domestic violence. Stephen’s practice emphasizes open communication and a close client-attorney relationship. Stephen has successfully guided many clients through the various paths of dispute resolution, including mediation, motion practice, arbitration, and trial. After graduating from Rutgers Law, Stephen was a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Terry Paul Bottinelli, J.S.C., in Bergen County for a one-year term.

Prior to joining Ziegler Law Group LLC Law, Stephen practiced for 2.5 years at a large, Family Law Firm. He first practiced family law as an Associate at Budd Larner, P.C. Most recently, Stephen practiced family law as an Associate with the law firm Chiesa, Shahinian & Giantomasi, P.C. (CSG).

Stephen is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, NJSBA Young Lawyer’s Division, NJSBA Family Division and Bergen County Bar Association.
